Conditions of Entry for the Graphic, Interior and Product Awards
Entries will be accepted from:
All New Zealand Designers, members or non-members of DINZ
Final Year students from recognised New Zealand tertiary design courses
Student entries are not limited to follow a specific brief.
Student entries are limited to project work completed within their final year at a recognised tertiary design course.
Any number of entries may be submitted in any one category (using separate entry forms and pay applicable fees).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please ensure your personal or company's name and/or logo is not visible on any part of your entry to be seen by the judges.
Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
Normal care will be taken when handling the entries. However, no responsibility will be taken for damage to entries or the loss of any part thereof in the transit or processing of the entries by the organisers or their assistants.
This BeST Awards are run in keeping with the conditions established by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) and the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA), thus ensuring fair procedures and unbiased evaluation by the jurors.
Graphic and Interior Entries should consist of:
A2 boards (lightweight, up to 2 per entry) including:
Photographs and drawings
A brief, printed on A4sheet, attached to or as part of A2 board, stating:
Project
Client contact
Objective
Solution
Idea
1 - 3 images of your project must be submitted on CD ROM or as original transparencies for the Awards Dinner digital presentation, and other publicity purposes. The CD must be labelled with your company name, thumbnails of images and the formats used. Please enclose 1 CD for each entry. Format: One set at 300 dpi, tiff, 150 x 150mm. Second set at 72 dpi
Two completed copies of the entry form; one enclosed in a sealed envelope
and attached to the back of one of the A2 boards, one loose
Payment for entry (payment for multiple entries can be made as a single payment)
Your business card attached to the entry form.
Product Entries should consist of:
Images of your work supplied in an electronic format, not exceeding 2mb, 300 dpi minimum
Documentation in support of the entry should include a brief, printed on A4sheet, stating: Project , Client contact, Objective, Solution, Idea.

If your entry is selected as a finalist, you will be asked to provide the organisers with a brief and images of your work, displayed on two A2 boards. This will form part of a national exhibition of the BeST Design Awards entries.
